Navigating the Writing Rules
June 21 @ 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm
Are you a procrasti-learner? Constantly attending writing workshops, reading craft books, and studying the “right way” to write a book, yet making little to no progress on actually accomplishing your goals and finding yourself more stuck than ever? We want to change that.
Join us to learn about navigating the choppy waters of writing rules. Who made the rules and to what end? Who do these rules actually serve? How can we make these rules serve us instead of the other way around? In this workshop, we’ll learn about:
- – the history of the “Rules” and who created them
- – effects of gatekeeping within writing communities and the industry
- – ways to let go of the rules and focus on a fulfilling writing life for you
Our goal is to set you free from “doing it right” so that you can actually WRITE.
This workshop is free for members of The Writer’s Helm and $60 for nonmembers. If you’d like to instead pay $47 for a month inside the Helm, click here! (Please note: No refund will be given for the cost of a month’s membership when free trial takes place during the week of a workshop.)
