Navigating Perfectionism | The Writer’s Helm Workshop
January 25 @ 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm
Writing is hard, and if you’re a perfectionist, it might feel impossible at times. I’ve been a perfectionist for as long as I can remember, and when I started my business, that was the primary thing holding me back. With the help of the tools that I introduce in this workshop (and a very patient therapist) I learned how to shift my mindset away from the duality of success and failure, to trust myself more, and to open up my inner creative that I’d been pushing away for years. Perfectionism doesn’t go away, but we can train ourselves to work with it and to tear down (or walk around) the seemingly immoveable wall that keeps us from taking risks and moving forward.
By the end of this workshop, you will be able to:
- – Classify helpful and unhelpful perfectionism
- – Identify personal beliefs that reenforce your perfectionist tendencies
- – Create boundaries for yourself to keep you moving forward
- – Use tools to push past perfectionism
This workshop is free for members of The Writer’s Helm and $60 for nonmembers. If you’d like to instead pay $47 for a month inside the Helm, click here! (Please note: No refund will be given for the cost of membership when free trial takes place during the week of a workshop.)
